BESCUTTER E SERIES
When we talked about a Galvo (short for galvanometer) the laser is more about talking of the beam how is delivered to the workpiece than the type of laser source. A Galvo can perform either a CO2 or a fiber light source. Galvos have been around in the market for a long time.
The advantage of the galvo laser unit delivery system is its speed, a galvo laser is extremely fast. What might take 20 minutes on a CNC laser system, might only take 20 seconds with a galvo. This is due to the way the light source is delivered to the object being marked. Unlike the CNC laser system used withCO2 and fiber lasers which typically use a belt/rail to move the laser lens over the material, the galvo directs the laser beam at small mirrors which are controlled by the galvanometer.
As voltage is applied to the galvanometer, the mirrors swivel, and tilt to direct the beam to the material surface and engrave the image.
